Initial Advice is FREE. There is no obligation to instruct. We will give you an honest assessment of your case and you can decide whether you need our help.

Because of the often complex nature of offences it’s not always possible to give you an exact fee but the figures below will give you an idea of the prices that we charge for representation.

All prices excluding VAT.

We do not accept Legal Aid.

Magistrates Court proceedings

(tachograph offences, driver hours, driver records and other traffic offences):

Pre Court

To make written representations to the Police pre-summons – £600 – £700 + VAT

At Court

Guilty plea and written mitigation (without a barrister) only – £600 – £700 + VAT

Guilty plea and mitigation in Court with a barrister* – £900 – £1,000 + VAT

Not Guilty plea and trial (includes barrister*) – £1,200 – £1,500 + VAT

*prices include a barrister on one occasion only. All additional hearings priced at £500 + VAT.

Operator Licence Application Hearings and Appeals

£1,500 – £2,500

Price includes a barrister on one occasion only. All additional hearings priced at £500 + VAT.

Crown Court Proceedings (records and tachograph fraud)

It is not possible to give an exact price for these types of cases. Evidence can range from 50 pages to 50,000 pages and trials anywhere between a day to a few months.

We price these at our hourly rate of £200 + VAT per hour and charge for a Barrister separately.

During your initial advice call we will try to be as accurate as possible with you about how much it is likely to cost but will constantly review that throughout the case.
