Temporary MOT Exemptions
Vehicles that require an MOT test from 30th March will be granted a six-month exemption, to fit in with the new coronavirus restriction regulations.
All cars, vans and motorcycles will be included. Lorry, bus and trailer MOTs have been suspended for three months.
Vehicles will, however, still need to be kept in a roadworthy condition, and garages are going to remain open for essential repair work. Failure to adhere to these may see drivers prosecuted for breach of the construction and use regulations or driving in a dangerous condition.
